Stay calm and find out in what capacity you are being summoned. If you are being questioned as a suspect, you have the right to a defence lawyer before questioning and the right to remain silent, and the police must inform you of these rights. Contact me before you go, so that we can discuss your position.
An arrested person has the right to choose a defence lawyer and to have a family member informed. You can contact me on their behalf, and I will get in touch with the competent authority as soon as possible.
Yes. Everything you tell me is protected by attorney-client confidentiality, even before you decide to instruct me. A defence lawyer may not disclose anything that could harm you.
The cost depends on the complexity of the case and the stage of the proceedings, and is calculated under the Attorney Fee Tariff (Odvjetnička tarifa). We agree on it in advance, before the defence begins.
